What is Real-Time Word Highlighting?
A revolutionary feature that provides instant visual feedback as you speak, making pronunciation practice more engaging and effective.

How It Works

  • Uses advanced Web Speech API with interim results
  • Processes speech in real-time as you speak
  • Matches spoken words to target sentence
  • Provides instant visual feedback with color coding

Key Benefits

  • Immediate feedback on pronunciation accuracy
  • Enhanced engagement during practice sessions
  • Automatic recording stop when sentence is complete
  • Reduced cognitive load with visual cues

Auto-Stop Feature
Intelligent recording termination that automatically stops when you finish speaking

How Auto-Stop Works

1

Word Detection

System tracks spoken words in real-time

2

Completion Check

Detects when sentence is nearly complete

3

Delay Timer

Waits for specified delay (default: 0.5s)

4

Auto-Stop

Automatically stops recording

Fallback to Silence Detection

When real-time word highlighting is not available, the system falls back to silence detection:

  • Monitors audio levels in real-time
  • Detects when speech ends (silence threshold)
  • Applies the same auto-stop delay
  • Less precise but still effective
